Carbon fibres in the form of balls are excellent for dosing into extruders or other equipment where precise weighing and high spreadability of the dosed material is required.
This product has been developed to reduce the dustiness of carbon fibre in the form of dust with fibre size up to 500 microns. This reduces the need to have forced suction in the work area and increases worker safety, hence, reducing the need for higher levels of protective work equipment.
A secondary added value is the higher bulk density, which reduces the volume of the transport containers, improves again the spreadability and improves the dosing into various industrial machines for connection with the plastic matrix.
The balls can be freely made of different lengths of fibers up to 2mm, when the ability to form a compact ball disappears.
